Listen, baby, I got news...first thing first, shoutout to the Class of 2014, it's been an exciting ten years.
For one week, BRONCOS far and wide come home to celebrate the FSU spirit, legacy, and future. Over 40 events are currently happening in the city, and everything has yet to be released. Listen to A FAYSTATE HOCO PLAYLIST and prepare NOW—that is, buy your tickets and order your fits now, not on October 28.
When is Fayetteville State University's Homecoming in 2024?
Fayetteville State University’s Homecoming, voted Number One Since 1967, is a week-long celebration running from Sunday, October 20, to Sunday, October 27, 2024. This year, we're celebrating milestone reunions for the classes of 1954, 1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2009, 2014, and 2019.
BASICS: The PARADE is on SATURDAY at 9:00 AM on Murchison Road. The FOOTBALL GAME is on SATURDAY at 2:30 PM, we're playing Shaw.
LET ME TELL YOU NOW: The Countdown is also the concert this year, now at Seabrook Auditorium, but it’s only for students—so yeah, it kind of sucks. Students, enjoy yourselves and stay safe! Alumni, we can play Parcheesi or do something. There will be a Step Show, so that's good news! Center Stage ends at 7 PM this year—it was a great time last year, so let’s all arrive to the Plots by 3 PM. I’m bringing a lawn chair because it was a vibe last year.
IN THE CITY: The WIDU Anniversary is happening—if you're interested in some good praise and worship, you should add it to your itinerary. Featuring Jekalyn Carr, Kim Burrell, Pastor John P. Kee & The New Life Community Choir, and Le’Andria Johnson. Downtown Fayetteville will host the 4th Friday Zombie Walk on Friday, October 25, from 6-10 PM. It features The Phoebe’s, The Several Devils, and Ring Wars Carolina Pro Wrestling.
FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS: The best restaurant in the city is Fuller's, so there you have it. Bronco Square is now Bronco Midtown, featuring China King, McAllister's, and Chick-Fil-A. Chipotle is open late until 11 PM—go to Ramsey or Raeford Rd location, not Skibo. Cook Out on Ramsey isn’t too far, but you might also consider the one on Owen, prepare for lines now.
When is Fayetteville State University's Homecoming 2024 Football Game again?
Saturday, October 26 at Luther "Nick" Jeralds Stadium
vs. Shaw Bears, 2:30 PM
